Left Sapporo this afternoon and am in Otaru now. It’s pretty quiet around here because it’s in between winter and summer travel seasons in Hokkaido. So I was treated with some great service and sweets & wine sampling in shops – the clerks seemed to be happy to have anyone in the store 🙂

The dinner and walk along the canal at night were also nice.
